Abstract

Epidemiological characteristics of head lice outbreak were analysed in this paper. It took place in three of New Belgrade`s preschools in the period of 03-24.10.2016.
Descriptive epidemiological method was used for the outbreak analysis. Data were collected from Reports of Center for Disease Control and Prevention, City Institute of Public Health Belgrade and from the case history of infested children.
In this outbreak 45 cases were registered among 224 exposed children. There were more girls (80%) than boys. The majority of children were 6 years (80%) and 5 years of age (11,11%).
